Dr. Goei is a board certified interventionalist who has performed invasive procedures for over 30 years. He has a great deal of experience with minimally invasive surgical as well as endovascular procedures. Dr. Goei has an interest in the maintenance of a dialysis patient’s vascular access. He strongly believes that surveillance and close follow up of a dialysis patient who has had an access intervention will result in superior function of the access and an improved quality of life. Dr. Goei also has extensive experience in performing complex peripheral arterial interventions especially in patients with critical limb ischemia. He is board certified in Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, Diagnostic Radiology, and Vascular and Interventional Radiology

Dr. Goei attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York; and completed his premedical education at Johns Hopkins University. He graduated from the Albert Einstein College of medicine in 1985. Dr. Goei completed a Surgery residency at Brooke Army Medical Center. This was followed by a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care. After practicing surgery for 15 years, Dr. Goei completed a second residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Brooke Army Medical Center. He then went to a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of California at San Diego. Dr. Goei combines his extensive experience in surgery and critical care with image guided interventions, and has used them to develop a successful practice in minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Goei has presented some of his work at regional and national meetings. He has also published on numerous topics in books and peer reviewed journals. His most recent book chapter on the management of sepsis was published in 2016 by the Society of Interventional Radiology

Dr. Goei was born in Indonesia and lived there until he was 7. He grew up in New York and entered the US military in 1976. Dr. Goei served in the US Army for thirty years, and retired from active duty in 2010 with the rank of Colonel. He has been married for 30 years and has 2 children. They live in San Antonio, Texas. The entire family are avid fans of the San Antonio Spurs. Dr. Goei divides his time between Texas and Georgia.
